This page lists every cookie and similar technology EconDoctor uses, what each one is for, and how long it lasts. It complements the Privacy Policy.
1. Your choice
Nothing beyond what is strictly necessary is stored on your device before you agree to it. Refusing is a single click, exactly like accepting, and refusing costs you nothing: every part of the site works either way.
You can change your mind whenever you like:
The Cookies link at the bottom of every page brings you back here. Your choice is remembered for 6 months, then we ask again. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings at any time.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These make the site work: they keep you signed in, protect forms against cross-site request forgery, and remember your cookie choice. They cannot be switched off here, and the law does not require consent for them because without them the service you asked for cannot be delivered.

3. Functional storage
These remember a preference you set yourself. They are first-party, hold no identifier that follows you anywhere, and exist only because you asked for the feature.

4. Audience measurement, only if you accept
If, and only if, you accept, we load Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are actually used. The Google Analytics script is not loaded at all until you say yes, and it is not loaded again if you say no.

If you withdraw your consent, we stop loading the script and delete the Google Analytics cookies we can reach from this domain.
5. Payment pages
When you buy coins, you are redirected to Stripe's own checkout page. Stripe sets its own cookies there to process the payment and prevent fraud, on Stripe's domain and under Stripe's policy, not ours. See stripe.com/privacy.
6. No advertising
EconDoctor carries no advertising cookies, no social network trackers and no audience resale. We do not embed video players, share buttons or comment widgets that would drop third-party cookies on our pages.
7. Fonts and other assets
Fonts, stylesheets, scripts and images are served from our own server in Finland. Loading a page of this site does not send your IP address to a content delivery network.
